I wanted to send my old PC to my brother-in-law, who is living in the East of Germany via DHL. I purchased the delivery order online, printed out the documents and glued the relevant ones onto the two boxes to be shipped. Next, I had to drop the boxes off in a DHL Packstation. There is one near my apartment but I had never used it before. I decided to give it a try. So, I loaded the boxes onto my trolley and dragged it through the snow. When I got there, I realized that only the smaller of the two boxes would fit into the Packstation - the other was just too large. So, I had to drag my trolley with the one remaining box back to my apartment. This photo was taken when I got home. I learned some time ago that shots taken at an angle tend to express motion. I found that to indeed be the case here. I wanted to show my trolley on the move in a still picture.

Asaf, a friend of mine (in spite of the fact that he's an Arsenal fan), has been craving to watch some English Premier League soccer here in Germany. I told him about SopCast, the peer-to-peer Internet TV software a few days ago. He went nuts when he heard that he would be able to watch EPL for free at home (his alternatives up till now were either visiting the Irish Pub or reading the results on the Web). So, he came over to my place and I helped him set up his laptop for some Internet TV - we installed SopCast and TvAnts. As gratitude for my services, my dear friend agreed to be my model (a.k.a. guinea pig) for the day. This is one of my favorite photos that were taken that day. I chose this one over the others because the composition is something I've never really tried before and I like the result. I'm used to taking shots from low angles, not high ones.

Munich warmly welcomed the New Year with a beautiful display of fireworks. The entire city was lit up for about an hour. This photo was taken from our apartment, which is on the 8th floor. We had a small gathering with some friends that day.
