Day #155 @ Photography Project 365

I've no idea what this is supposed to be but we found it dangling from the ceiling at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Don't worry - it's not alive.

5 stars for composition!

Love the contrast. Too much grains but I'm sure you could do nothing to help, because of the dark environment.

Thanks, M. You're right about the grains - I had to use the highest ISO possible.

Lovely shot of that dome and the patterns, and colourful 'hanging thing'. My guess is it's a toupe belonging to a clown, that got tangled up in whatever's hanging from the dome ;-)

it's very festive isn't it?
looks more like a carnival decoration than a museum piece...
but i like it.

Hi there! Fun composition of an enticing artwork. To help you along in your hunt for details about the piece, I can tell you that I instantly recognized yet another of Dave Chihuly's glass sculptures. They're kind of pervasive in art museums these days. Perhaps there are imitations out nowadays, but I doubt that that's what this one is. Cheers!
