This is my crib (i.e. home office), the place where I spent a lot (if not too much) of my time. I recently got myself a new 23" Samsung LCD monitor and  I love it. My excuse for getting it was that it would greatly increase the pace at which I edited my photos. That secured my wife's vote.

I took this shot from a very low angle. Considering the 30-second exposure that I used, my Slik Pro 400DX tripod came in extremely handy. I used the floor's design / texture as leading lines into the picture. This is a technique I often use and have found to be very effective.

I'm also loving the samsung monitor, but I'm loving the low angle more.

By the way, you've got a cozy room there!

The monitor is really excellent. I paid about 160 EUR, which I think is really reasonable. For the low angle, I must thank my Slik Pro 400 DX tripod. I'm really happy with and it's much cheaper than a Manfrotto.
